Default Alliance and Guild Chat upgrade

Well a lot of people use Allaince and Guild Chat correct? But doesn't it get on your nerves when you map travel, or go to another area and everything said in Allinace and Guild Chat is well, not seen, you can't even look at previous text in the ` menu. I think that basically, it should be shown, or at least be read via the ` menu. it's really annoying when people ask me a question and i map while they ask it, so i don't see it, and then they get annoyed they I'm not responding, and all it is, is that i map when they sent the message... It's not as if they can got look up, because it won't even be there, they have to type or use the up arrows to send it again, it's simple, yet useful.

Opinions?

Uhm... I can see the previous text just fine if I open the chat window. The only text I miss is the one sent just as I zoned (a 3-5 second gap), but the chances of missing something there are rather small, but still annoying. I wouldn't mind being able to go back and read it.

Maybe for you, but when you play the game on a laptop and often have to wait 10+ seconds or if you have a slow connection, you can miss alot. That's the point I'm getting at, not everyone has a high spec PC with fast internet, that can load a map in 2 seconds.

Can't you just scroll back up the chat list to see what was missed, if anything?

It doesn't appear when you reach the zone but can't you just pop open the chat dialog and look to see if you missed anything?

First off, do you know to whack the " ¬ " key to open chat window and view prior messages?"

Second... It is possible to receive messages while loading. I have heard the whisper ping a number of times while waiting for a map to load.

I have the same problem, I miss a few lines of chat while zoning once in a while. It is annoying and I would love some way to go back and see what was said. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice.

And no, you can't just click the little chat thing and see what you missed. If you do that you see everything from before you zoned, and everything from after you get there - nothing in between.

He is right. Only whispers appear while loading. Guild Chat and Alliance Chat is not treated like that. While zoning, ANYTHING SAID IN AC/GC WILL NOT BE VIEWABLE TO YOU, EVEN IF YOU SCROLL UP!!! Get it now?

finally people are understanding my point now, lol.

Anyways, as you can see this is a silly yet annoying little thing, and probably is an easy fix, so it's not exactly something hard to incorperate.

Don't forget team chat. You know those heros/hench are talking behind your back while you're loading...

I've always wondered why they didn't treat it like whisper. Gets annoying when you're in the middle of a chat before you have to zone and then you miss the next few lines.

I can see my alliance/guild chat that is sent as I zone...I don't see why other's can't :S

EDIT: It could just be that I spend half a second at the loading screen, so that the only reason things appear to have been sent while I was loading was actually after I had stopped zoning and was loading the remaining graphics for the area. Not sure.

I run off high speed internet and have a airly quick computer, but I still do miss guild/allaince chat when I zone in and out. My guild just says "Zoning" when they do that so we avoid missing anything. I do agree some do lose text while zoning and the problem should be adjusted. The only thing I get while zoning are whispers.
